One of the oldest and holiest of places for Christians worldwide, the Church of The Holy Sepulchre is without doubt packed with symbols of ancient Christianity, with strong meaning for the worlds Christian population. Housed in the old walled city of Jerusalem, a place of worship has been housed on this site since the third century.

Calvary: A staircase marks this site, which is the most lavishly decorated in the entire church. The main altar is said to carry the Rock of Calvary, which can be seen through a glass protective cover. And when they were come unto a place called Golgotha, that is to say, a place of a skull. Matthew 27:33
The Chapel of The Nailing of The Cross: on the hill of Golgotha (the Calvary) , this small chapel is off to the side of the main altar housing the Rock of Calvary.
The Stone of The Anointing: Said to be the place that Christ’s body was prepared for burial after being taken from the cross, this stone holds particular meaning for many people, and brings peace to those seeking solitude in their lives.
The Angels Stone: Housed in the Aedicule, this stone is said to be a fragment of the stone that sealed Christ’s tomb after his burial. This area is shared by three of the Christian churches that are housed within the Holy Sepulchre Church.
Prison of Christ: Traditionalists believe that this is the area where Christ was held during his imprisonment.
